Since the inception of Handyware in the Philippines in 1968, we have grown into a multi-national company covering Asia, Africa and Europe. Over many than 50 years of development, from a humble local importer of pocket calculators, Handyware is now a company offering a wide range of product that includes seasoning/flavor, industrial printers, food machinery, e-cigarette and even plant-based meat alternatives. Taking one step a time, while keeping in mind the core values emphasized by our founder, we set upon an exciting four-stage journey of growth.

In 1968, Mr Francisco L. Wong founded Handyware. Its initial business was importing products such as pocket calculators and silkscreen printers to the local market. Over the years, the company expanded its product range to industrial equipment, food processing and packaging machineries, printing and publishing product, telecommunications product, construction product, pharmaceutical product and other growth-oriented businesses.
In the early 1990’s, Handyware established businesses in China, leveraging on its competitive labour cost and market size. With a team of dedicated individuals that our founder put together, we established factories in Guangzhou, Shanghai and Foshan.
Our factories manufactured products such as seasoning, flavor, fragrance, industrial printers and food processing machineries
Handyware China operation enjoyed a strong period of growth. State of art processing and RnD machines were installed in our factories, meeting customers’ demand for quality. Our seasoning and industrial printers businesses grew admirably, establishing ourselves as one of the best brands in the respective sectors. Mr Francisco L Wong saw Africa as the next high growth region. In 2011, Handyware established its first seasoning factory in South Africa.
This marks a phase of product consolidation in China operation, and prepares itself for the next phase of expansion to other regions outside China and the Philippines.
Handyware China operation continues to grow strongly. A new seasoning factory was established in Hubei to meet the demand of the expanding seasoning business. The factory started its first batch of production in 2017. The seasoning business also set up new sales offices in Fujian and Chongqing. In Africa, additional factory was established in South Africa to manufacture non-GMO soya-based meat alternatives and in Nigeria, a new seasoning factory was set up. In South East Asia, we established new factory in Malaysia to produce non- GMO soya-based meat alternatives. Sales offices were set up in Thailand and Japan. We have also expanded to Europe by acquiring RPAROMA Germany, enhancing our flavor product and market range.
